FrontierVille Guide
The FrontierVille interface is a pretty easy to use one, with most of the buttons being right there where an experienced social games player would expect them to be. However, since not everybody was born an expert, I have decided to create this guide on the FrontierVille Icons, to help you get the hang of things and understand how you can interact with the game and do everything you feel like doing.

First of all, we have the top bar (pictured above). In the left corner we have information about the FrontierVille coins (the regular currency in the game), as well as the number of horseshoes we own (the premium money we can use to purchase special items). Next, we are shown the number of two important in-game items: wood and food, which can be used around the town. Next, we have the energy bar, beneath which, when the levels are low, appears the “Get more” button that allows us to spend food for energy. Finally, we have our level indicator – if you click it, you are told how much experience is needed until the next level. Beneath that, when we perform actions, appears the Bonus button about which I’ll write a complete tutorial very soon!
On the left hand side of the bar we have indicators for the active goals plus reminders to send gifts or check out gifts we have received:

Next, we have the bottom bar with information about our neighbors and tools for the game. This bar will be the most important part when it comes to FrontierVille icons:

It’s important because that’s where we can check out our neighbors’ wishlists by hovering the mouse over their picture and we can also visit them to gain reputation, send them a gift or hire them to do chores on our plot of land.
And second, the right corner holds all the tools we can use in the game:
We have the options button above, which allows us to:
- toggle graphics quality: to increase the game’s performance
- mute sounds and/or music
- zoom in or out (which can be done using the mouse wheel as well)
- full screen: toggle full screen mode
Next, we have the My tools button which can be clicked to select a different action (like move, delete or rotate items); the red cancel button that switches the cursor back to the original arrow; the Market button which can be used to purchase different in-game items and the My Stuff backpack, where we can check out the Family Album and customize the looks of the family, the Gifts button where we can check out the gifts, the Inventory where we’ll see all our items and the Collections button where we can check out the FrontierVille collections.
And yes, it’s much simpler than it appears to be when you read all the explanations!
Are you having trouble finding your way through FrontierVille?
