Here is some answered questions about how to do things in pet Ville that tons of you have been asking! (Some have links to the zynga forums for more help)
Q1: Is there a Limit to Cleaning Pets?

A: Yes there is a limit to cleaning pets.The number of pets you can clean and still receive bonuses from will vary. You are permitted 150 “ticks” per reset period. You can, however, wait awhile and you will start receiving more love and coins, to a small degree (usually a tick or two). There is no limit on how many bonuses you can receive from cleaning your own pet. So whenever your pet is even the slightest dirty you can clean them and still receive bonuses.

Q2:Is there a limit to the rewards you receive from cleaning your neighbor’s house?

A: Yes there definitely is a limit to cleaning houses. There is also a limit on the “Good Housekeeping” bonus. You can pick up 600 trash items before you stop receiving a bonus every reset period. You can also obtain 30 “Good Housekeeping” bonuses before you stop seeing the rewards from it every reset period. A good indicator of when you stop receiving bonuses from cleaning trash is when you stop seeing the message telling you the amount of trash that has yet to be collected.You also will no longer see the +** coins message that pops up after picking up the trash items. You can also tell when the Housekeeping bonuses stop when you no longer see the +20 love and +50 coins message at the end of the splash animation.

Q3: Furniture,buttons, and Popups are interfering with the collection of trash is becoming a problem.Is there any way to get the trash items that are unobtainable?

A: Yes, you can simply move to another room and come back to the room where you could not get at the trash item and the trash item will reset its position. You can also, conversely, click on the flies that circle above the trash item to collect it.

Q4: I can’t see my neighbors, what can I do to fix this?

A: There have been a number of solutions posted for this. One solution is adding another neighbor will fix your neighbor list. Another solution that works on the same premise is to delete the neighbor and re-add them. When none of this works simply submit a support ticket. Here is a thread detailing the process:

Q5: I can’t see my pet. All I can see is a weird pet in a bubble and I can’t buy any clothing items for them. How can I fix this?

A: This is usually a problem associated with not fully completing the pet creation process. You can try going to the “Makeover” shop and try to fix it from there. To get there, simply click the world icon and then the Makeover option listed there. If this does not work you could try removing the application and re-adding it to go through the pet creation process again (you will lose everything in this way, but if you’ve just started this should not be too big a problem). If even that should fail you, I recommend sending in a support ticket. Here is a thread which details the process:

Q6: I can only send ** gifts(or no gifts at all) to my friends when I can normally send 16. How can I fix this?

A: The problem lies in the fact that due to Facebooks new privacy policy there are new limitations set on how many requests a user can send. The gift/neighbor requests are tied together, so if you send 15 gifts you only have one neighbor request left to send. There is a thread that explains the new Facebook request limit. Q7: My Pet ate an item that was not supposed to be eaten (like furniture) after I had put out a treat for it. I cannot find the eaten item anywhere, what can I do to fix this?

A: Normally after your pet eats an inedible item (with me it was a Holiday Wreath), it comes back when you refresh your house. If it doesn’t you should send in a support ticket. Here is a thread detailing the process:

Q8: How do you change the color of your Flower Pots and your Food Bowl?

A: With your food bowl you can simply just click on it and then you should see a popup. Click the link provided and then a window will popup showing you all your food choices. Simply click on the change bowl tab and you will have a selection of the different styles of colors. Currently the flower pot needs to have dead flowers in it before you can change the color of it. Simply click on the vase as if you were going to change the flowers out and then like with the food bowl click the change vase tab and select your preferred color.

Q9: Is there any way to change the food in my pets bowl? I need to change my food or my pet starve.

A: Yes there is a way to change your food. Simply click on the bowl and then the link when the popup appears. You will have an option of changing your pets food to anything you have access to. Keep in mind, however, that you will lose your food bonus from doing so.

Q10: I seem to have lost items after purchasing some in the store. They are not in my storage, yet the coins I used to buy them are gone. What can I do to fix this?

A: Usually this is bug, at other times its latency between the server and your browser. Try refreshing the application and check your storage, if that does not work simply send in a support ticket detailing the items that were lost. Here is a thread that will help you with the process:

Q11: What are the jewels I sometimes see in my neighbors houses? I can never pick them up, but they look like I can pick them up.

A: If you notice, they are always next to the food bowl. This is the item that appears after the food in a neighbors bowl is all used up. It is the item that you click to receive the bonuses from feeding your pet. It means that the neighbor has not logged in to collect it, though you as a guest in their home cannot pick it up.

Q12: Is it possible to put your pet into Vacation Mode or send them to a kennel for the times that I am away for a very long while? I don’t want my pet to starve while I’m away on vacation.

A: Not currently, no. Though there has been talk of this feature in the forums, and hopefully something will be implemented shortly.

Q13: I was level ** and after I refreshed my browser I lost a level and now I’m level **. Is this a bug?

A: Yes and no, you see the amount of love and coins you have is recorded by the server. Not always what you see in your browser is exactly what the server has recorded for where you should be. So when you refresh your browser the server updates your browser for the status that your pet should have. This entails that you have not lost anything you just need to go through your neighbors again. However, that being said there are times when the server has it wrong and going back to your neighbors doesn’t award you anymore love. This means that the data has become lost, simply send in a support ticket. Here is a thread detailing the process:

That being said sometimes the server also thinks you have more love than you are supposed to, but people seldom complain about that .

Q14: I can’t accept gifts, what can I do to fix this?

A: Depends on the problem. You see there is a cap on how many gifts you can have in your storage the limit for your storage is 30. Simply reduce the amount of treats in your storage and you should be able to accept more gifts. There are some gifts that can’t be eaten for things such as: dolls, mistletoe, wreaths, candles, and anything else not edible you can simply drop them into your house and put them back into your storage and they will no longer count as gift items. This enables you to continue to accept gifts without the clutter of many items in your home.

Also, keep in mind that some gifts cannot be accepted because they sat in waiting for too long and thusly the data was lost. If you try to accept gifts by clicking on as many of them as possible before the screen goes to the Petville app when you have already reached the cap, you will lose these gifts.There is no way to retrieve the gifts after this point.
